Fermanagh Eco House

Exactly one year ago our clients were looking to build an Eco House on their land in Fermanagh.

They had a desire to install solar to power the household utilities and put in a heating and ventilation system which would create a comfortable home that would be easy to maintain and cost effective to run.

They appointed us at Daly Renewables as they wanted one point of contact, and an engineer led approach to designing and installing their technologies, which included:

• Solar PV System
• Roth Solar Hot Water System
• Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation
• Hitachi Yutaki 14kw Air Source Heat Pump
• Roth Underfloor Heating System

Daly Renewables worked closely with Bell Architects Ltd on the project from an early stage to ensure the installation of the equipment went as smoothly as possible.

We are very happy with the finished result of this home, in particular:

• a quiet MHRV system running at less than 50% capacity
• the addition of the new Hitachi Hi Kumo app to control the heating from tablet or smartphone
• the introduction of the new Hitachi Mirror Box, which cuts down on the cabling required between the heat pump and the internal controls
• the Solar PV System which has generated 3,000kwh of power in the last 10 months

We cannot go without mentioning the amazing views from this house, which we got to enjoy along with a celebratory drink with the homeowners at the end of a long days commissioning.
